Shani Amavasya : Know what is benefic and what is malefic for you ?

What is the significance of full moon (Poornima) and new moon (Amavasya). Lot of astrologers have started talking much about the full moon and the new moon now a days. Specifically we see shani amavasya - as a subjective interest for few astrologers and seeking people attention. In traditional times, the amavasya was observed as a holiday or a month off day till 18th century / start of 19th century at many places in India. Even today a sect of workers in India do not work on amavasya. People avoid travels on amavasya. Let me point up with the astrological significance of Shani amavasya.

I was reading a leading hindi news paper where i saw that an known astrolger has published a list of activities to be done for all raashi at shani amavasya, But I honestly awake the people always and ensure the people with all my knowlede, experience and study accquired over the past 13+ years that it has nothing to do with Shani amavasya, neither it has to do with planet Shani and neither with amavasya.

I wish to make here a MOST important point as the basic of vedic astrology. Empower the good and powerful planet/s as per your horoscope and paicify the ill effects of any weak or malefic planets in your horoscope. In simpler language make powerful the good and beneficial one  and pacify the weak and malefic one in your horoscope through any mantras, donation and planet specific activity or ritual. 

Donating specific things for a malefic planet is always right as you are reducing the ill effects of malefic planet by giving it away in form of donation.

Donating speciifc thing for a benefic planet may not always be right. for eg People who have 

Jupiter in karka : should not donate or give away yellow things or jupiter related things. They can further wear yellow things or have it them to get more better results from Jupiter.

The question also arises What astrologically could be done on Shani Amavasya.

1) Any person who is going through Shani Mahadasha and antar dasha can worship shani to get its positive results.    

2) Worship of shani on amavasya is much beneficial in form of mantra, pooja that empowers the planet pleasing effects and gives you positive energy.

3) If your shani in Horoscope is in Tula (7), Makar(10) or kumbh(11) raashi, you honestly need not to do any donation on shani amavasya or in fact any staurday since shani is already in a good raashi in your horoscope.

4) Those who have a malefic shani (in mesh) they can best utilize shani amavasya for donation of saturn related things. Also at the same time can do enchantings for shani mantra.

5) I have advised some many people in the past lapsed shani amavasya to not to donate shani specific things on amavasya as shani in their horoscope is a benefic planet.

So undertand the benefic and the malefic. that is important. Its also the saying goes that a perosn should know his good's and bad's.
